THE MOST SPECTACULAR MOTORCYCLING YEAR EVER.

Another year in our riding boots is behind us.

For many women, 2007's been a year of firsts. Perhaps the mastering of a new riding skill never before managed, standing on the podium as an achiever, or finally buying that dream motorcycle and taking it for a journey through adventures' roads--and for many taking the first step by learning to ride. For others there were experiences of the harder kind—perhaps the loss of a riding friend, or our own mishaps that changed the plans we had made for ourselves—yes, those things that make you stronger.

Reflecting on the past year; reflection, a great thing because when we recollect scenes or situations and the manner we handled ourselves amidst challenges or successes—we make discoveries.
It's in this reflection we can set out our goals and aspirations for the year ahead.

So I wish you time to reflect and that the riding roads you choose to navigate in 2008 lead you through a journey of new found glories giving you your most -- spectacular motorcycling year ever!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

MOTORCYCLING MOTIVATION FUN

Recently, a humorous collection of motorcycling inspirations and motivations were circulated via email. They're composed in the style of those North American business picture posters (usually hanging on office walls--you know the ones). And maybe you’ve been fortunate enough to receive the link to this quirky collection of thoughts and photos in your in-box.
But, if you haven’t because maybe the email ended up in your junk folder or your spam filter deleted it—here it is!

They’re all great for a smile! I'm certain you’ll relate to a few.

Enjoy!

FIRE FIGHTERS, MOTORCYCLING WOMEN & FUN @ MOTORESS STAND

The famed Toronto fire fighter calendar guys were a big hit with women motorcyclists during the recent December 2007 Toronto Motorcycle Shows’ themed ladies night—they were invited and exclusively featured at our MOTORESS stand.

At first when preparing for the show, I thought I might be able to entice but a couple of Toronto’s finest to heat up ladies night. Turns out six of the fellas were available to attend. Must have been the combination of motorcycles and women which provided a fairly interesting drawing card! And as you might have guessed--they were a BIG hit!

Additionally, the Princess Margaret hospital foundation representative Sandra, also in attendance, was tremendously satisfied because all but three of the calendars sold —a near sell out! Great results! All proceeds benefit the Fire Fighters Cancer Research Fund at the Princess Margaret Hospital so a big thank you to all the women that bought one! (Wasn't a lot of arm twisting going on--the calendar is a flame inducing desirable.)

And each calendar purchased was personally, individually, autographed by each and every fire fighter on hand - Ray, Kalman, Matt, Emile, Michael and Danny. I purchased one also in support. My favourite personal inscription was by Michael Mr "March" where he wrote “lets get together—call me” and then writes his phone number “911” (the Canadian emergency number) –these guys are pretty slick! I wonder how many women actually call "911" looking for their special fire-fighter!

And naturally I couldn’t help enjoy the "uplifting pleasure" these fearless firemen offered and snatched my own photo souvenir —a great ‘pick me up” if you know what I mean, to the end of a long day (12 hours of trade show).

Have a look at their website but keep a cool glass of water on hand!

RACE CAKE?

This has always been a favourite item of mine and I can’t believe I don’t yet own one! A race bike cake form — to make your favourite flavour of “race cake”.
I think I would end up filling it with my choice muffin mix say — blueberry or perhaps carrot.

If this is an item you might want to get for yourself or as a gift -- you can order online here at Motozoom.nl a popular Dutch motorcycle shop. They’ve always offered the neatest items — slippers, little motorcycle Christmas or patio lights etc.

Worth exploring—and don’t worry most "Nederlanders" speak English so ordering is a “piece of cake”...so to speak ;-)
