FIRE FIGHTERS, MOTORCYCLING WOMEN & FUN @ MOTORESS STAND

The famed Toronto fire fighter calendar guys were a big hit with women motorcyclists during the recent December 2007 Toronto Motorcycle Shows’ themed ladies night—they were invited and exclusively featured at our MOTORESS stand.

At first when preparing for the show, I thought I might be able to entice but a couple of Toronto’s finest to heat up ladies night. Turns out six of the fellas were available to attend. Must have been the combination of motorcycles and women which provided a fairly interesting drawing card! And as you might have guessed--they were a BIG hit!

Additionally, the Princess Margaret hospital foundation representative Sandra, also in attendance, was tremendously satisfied because all but three of the calendars sold —a near sell out! Great results! All proceeds benefit the Fire Fighters Cancer Research Fund at the Princess Margaret Hospital so a big thank you to all the women that bought one! (Wasn't a lot of arm twisting going on--the calendar is a flame inducing desirable.)

And each calendar purchased was personally, individually, autographed by each and every fire fighter on hand - Ray, Kalman, Matt, Emile, Michael and Danny. I purchased one also in support. My favourite personal inscription was by Michael Mr "March" where he wrote “lets get together—call me” and then writes his phone number “911” (the Canadian emergency number) –these guys are pretty slick! I wonder how many women actually call "911" looking for their special fire-fighter!

And naturally I couldn’t help enjoy the "uplifting pleasure" these fearless firemen offered and snatched my own photo souvenir —a great ‘pick me up” if you know what I mean, to the end of a long day (12 hours of trade show).
